How to make a Mojito with Rum

Our Gold Coast XO rum is aged to perfection in a charred, white oak barrel to the perfect golden amber color. Medium-bodied with a delicate, round complex palette that reminds you of the raw materials in sugarcane. This rum is well defined with an attractive bouquet that connotes excellence.

Here's how you make the perfect Cohiba - a nicely tart, minty, lemony mixed drink with just a little punch from the rum.

INGREDIENTS

1 oz Gold Coast XO Rum
Fresh Mint Leaves
6 - 8 Blackberries
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
Soda Water

DIRECTIONS

First start by adding 1oz of Gold Coast XO Rum to your shaker. Next add the blackberries and a handful of mint, then add a squeeze of lemon juice. Using a muddler, crush the fruit and mint very well to release the essence of the flavours. Once muddled, add ice, then shake to mix and chill well. When pouring into your cocktail glass, do not strain, add all ingredients into a glass, then top off with a little 7 up or soda. A perfect and refreshing drink for anytime!

About The Drink

Gold Coast XO rum is made in the birthplace of Rum... on the island of Barbados in the Caribbean. On the golden sands where the rum is distilled, white sands, turquoise waters and the bright sun are always in abundance. These conditions are perfect for producing the highest quality sugar cane, which has been growing in Barbados since the 1600's. In every bottle of the Golden Sands XO Rum, you can taste the essence of the relaxed island lifestyle and hospitality that is often called a "Paradise on Earth" – the Golden Sands of the Caribbean Island of Barbados.
