Aromatic, delicate and flavorful all at the same time, nothing can quite compare to lavender. This fragrant herb is by far one of our favorites to mix with vodka. Thankfully, it’s also a very common herb — making it easier for you to enjoy the wonderful recipe that we are about to share with you.
As you probably guessed by now, today we are going to teach you how to make a Moscow mule with lavender. But before doing so, let’s take a quick look at the list of ingredients that you will need:
1 oz of lemon juice, preferably freshly squeezed
2 oz of vodka
1 oz of elderflower syrup
2 oz of ginger beer
*To make lavender syrup you will need the following ingredients:
0.5 cup of sugar
1 cup of water
2 tablespoons of dried culinary lavender
Combine the sugar, the water and lavender in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and lower the heat. Stir for a few seconds until the sugar has dissolved, and let the mixture simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the lavender has steeped properly. Strain the lavender out and let the lavender syrup cool down. Refrigerate.
To make a Moscow mule with lavender, simply combine the ingredients and strain into a cocktail glass (or copper mug) that has been previously chilled and filled with ice cubes. Garnish with a lemon twist and enjoy!
