Coconut might be an acquired taste, but it’s certainly a delicious acquired taste. And guess what? It just happens to mix very well with vodka. Yes, you read that right! If you love coconut and are feeling adventurous this weekend, then we have the perfect recipe for you.
Today, we will be teaching you how to make a Moscow mule with coconut. But before doing that, let’s take a look at the list of ingredients that you will need:
1/4 cup of coconut infused vodka*
1 tablespoon of lime juice, preferably freshly squeezed
1/2 cup of ginger beer, any brand
1 lime wedge
*To make the coconut infused vodka, you will need:
1 cup of vodka
1/2 cup of shredded coconut
Begin by combining the vodka and the shredded coconut in a bowl. Cover and let stand for 24 hours minimum. Some people prefer to let it steep for much longer (2+ days), but that’s up to you. Remember that taste is the most important thing.
To make a Moscow mule with coconut vodka, simply pour the vodka and the lime juice in a copper mug filled with ice cubes, either whole or crushed. Top with ginger beer and stir. If needed, you may add in a teaspoon or two of sugar. Garnish with a lime wheel and enjoy!
