If you know anything about martinis, then you know that most recipes don’t include blueberries. We’re here to change this for you.
What makes this traditional cocktail so great (and yes, we’ve said that before) is its versatility. No other cocktail can be made in such different manners and with such different ingredients and still taste good. Today, we will be teaching you how to make a fruity version of this delicious cocktail. But before teaching you how to make a martini with blueberry vodka, let’s first take a look at the list of ingredients that you will need:
1 liter of blueberry vodka
1 cup of raspberry flavored liqueur
The juice of 1 lime or lemon
Lime (or lemon) twists for garnish
Making a blueberry martini doesn’t differ much from making a normal martini. Begin by filling a cocktail shaker with ice cubes and then combining 2 parts blueberry vodka and 1 part raspberry liqueur. Add in a dash of lime (or lemon juice) and shake until the exterior of the cocktail shaker has started to frost over — usually no more than 30 seconds. Strain into cocktail glasses that have been previously chilled, garnish with lime (or lemon) twists and enjoy!
Keep in mind that blueberry vodka can either be bought or homemade. If you decide to go the DIY way, you can find plenty of delicious recipes online. Good luck and have fun!
