Summer might be a long way away but that doesn’t mean that summery cocktails shouldn’t be enjoyed — yes, even when the weather outside seems to disagree with you. After all, few things go better with a margarita than fruits or berries.
Today, we are going to teach you how to make a margarita with prickly pear syrup. But before doing that let’s take a quick look at the list of ingredients that you will need, prickly pear syrup aside:
1 lime wedge
3 cups of lime juice, preferably freshly squeezed
3 cups of silver tequila
2 cups of prickly pear syrup
1 cup of orange liqueur
Note: This recipe makes 10 servings, so be sure to share the deliciousness with some friends or family! It’s the perfect recipe for gatherings.
To make a margarita with prickly pear syrup, begin by rubbing the rims of 10 margarita glasses with the lime wedge before dipping them into a small plate filled with salt. (Any type of salt will work but we recommend that you go with sea or pink salt for best results.) Proceed to fill a large pitcher with ice cubes before adding the lime juice, the tequila, the pear syrup and the orange liqueur. Stir for at least 30 seconds or until the ingredients are mixed properly. Strain into the glasses, serve and enjoy!
