To fend off the summer heat, nothing surpasses a delicious and refreshing fruity margarita. Some of our favorite variations of this classic and beloved cocktail utilize fruits. This is because the sweetness of fruits blends wonderfully well with tequila. So if you’ve been looking to sweeten things up this summer, you’ve come to the right place.
Today, we are going to teach you how to make a margarita with pomegranate. But before doing that, let’s take a quick look at the list of ingredients that you will need:
1 1-liter bottle of tequila
2 cups of Cointreau
2 cups of pomegranate juice
1 cup of fresh lime juice
A handful of ice cubes
Much like the original margarita, this variation is both quick and easy to make. To make a margarita with pomegranate, simply combine the tequila, the Cointreau, the pomegranate juice and the lime juice in a large pitcher. Stir until the ingredients have blended together. Take out a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes and pour 1 cup of the margarita blend. Shake until the exterior of the shaker has started to frost over (usually no longer than 30 seconds). Strain into a cocktail shaker that has been previously chilled, and repeat with the remaining blend. Garnish with fresh slices of lime, serve and enjoy!
