Let’s be honest. Blackberries (the berries, not the phones) are awesome. They can be a bit expensive yes, but they are still awesome. Like most berries, you can do almost anything with them. You can eat them raw, eat them in a blueberry pie or even make a lovely blackberry margarita out of them.
Today, we will be teaching you how to do that. Sounds good? Just wait until you actually taste it! But before teaching you how to make a margarita with blackberries, let’s first take a look at the list of ingredients that you will need:
1 cup of water
1/2 cup of sugar
1 cup of tequila
3/4 cup of Grand Marnier
2/3 cup of lime juice
12 ounces of blackberries
To make a blackberry margarita, begin by combining the water and the sugar and heating it on the stove for a minute or two. Ensure that the sugar has been completely dissolved before taking the mixture off the heat.
When the sugar water has cooled down enough, combine it with the tequila, the Grand Marnier, the lime juice and the blackberries in a blender filled with ice cubes. Blend the ingredients to a smooth consistency and strain into cocktail glasses that have been previously chilled. Garnish with lime wedges and enjoy!
This recipe makes quite a few servings so make sure to invite some friends along. (Or not, we won’t judge you!)
