Ah, kiwis. Some people hate them. Some people love them. They are disgusting when eaten raw, but when they are ripe they make everything better. Literally.
And yes it includes margaritas.
Here at the Minhas Distillery we are always open to finding new and exciting drink recipes. We especially adore fruity drinks and in the past we have shared many fruity margarita recipes. Today, we will share another one with you, one that — you guessed it — just happens to star a small, hairy but oh so delicious fruit. Meet the kiwi.
But before teaching you how to make a kiwi margarita, let’s first take a look at the list of ingredients that you will need:
1/2 cup of sugar
1/3 cup of tequila
1/3 cup of triple sec
2 large kiwis, peeled
1 cup of lime juice, preferably freshly squeezed
Just like any other margarita recipe, this one is very easy and quick to make. Simply combine the sugar, the tequila, the triple sec, the kiwis, the lime juice and the ice cubes and blend until smooth. (Usually no more than 30 seconds.) Proceed to divide the mixture between margarita glasses that have been previously chilled. Garnish with lime wedges if you want or fresh kiwi slices. If needed, add in some sugar as well to sweeten the deal.
