Bourbon is always whiskey but whiskey is not always bourbon.
Gin cocktails can be extremely versatile. They can be comprised of almost anything that you can think of, from strawberries to chocolate to bourbon. If you like to experiment with different ingredients, then we have the perfect recipe for you.
Today, we are going to teach you how to make a gin cocktail with bourbon whiskey. But before doing that, let’s take a quick look at the list of ingredients that you will need:
1 ounce of bourbon
1 ounce of ginger juice, preferably fresh
1 ounce of lemon juice, preferably fresh
1 ounce of gin
1⁄2 ounce of honey
A cucumber slice, for garnish
Note: This recipe makes 1 serving.
To make a gin cocktail with bourbon, make sure that you own a cocktail shaker first. If you don’t, then you can find one online for $20 or so. Once you have gathered all the necessary ingredients, simply combine the bourbon, the ginger juice, the lemon juice, the gin, the honey and 3 ounces of water in a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Cover and shake for 30 seconds, or until the exterior of the shaker has started to frost over. Strain into a glass that has been previously chilled and filled with glass. Garnish with a fresh slice of cucumber, serve and enjoy!
